INTRODUCTION

• Online airline ticket booking system is one of the essential applications of E-

commerce. With the development of Internet and security technology, more
and more
• people begin to consume online, which is more convenient and personal than
traditional way.
• The goal of this system is to make people purchase airline tickets easily.
• The system written in Java.

THE LOGIC OF THE WEB SITE
• Through the Web server, users can booking airline tickets and pay bills online.
• To use this system the user should register first through the registration page by
inputting theuser ID, password, user name, address and so on.
• Then the user can login to the system trace their purchase by the user ID and password.
The user information will be storedin the entire session until he or her logouts.
• After the user logins the system, he can search for flights by the search bar or the main
search page.
• The search based on the destination, departure airport, date and Airline companis.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

• This project allows users to view flight details and to reserve, view and
cancel tickets by logging in or registering with a new account and reporting
any issue if required.
• Admin is provided with rights to see flight details, reservations, user contacts
and some functions like adding flights and collecting reports given by users.

CONCLUSION

• Application Development can make any developer seek the problem

statement through many aspects like GUI and DBMS.
• Developing this application made me learn many things about Object
oriented programming and Database management systems and developing
desktop applicationsby integrating database.
FUTURE SCOPE

• This project can be upgraded by adding more options such as Ticket editing
and more admin operations.
• Payment options and document checking such as ID proofs can be added.
• Applications can be upgraded by improving performance as per user
feedback.
