HISTORY

• Mining has been developed in Peru since time immemorial, an example of this are the
pieces of goldsmithing and ornamentation used by the authorities of the different pre-Inca
cultures, which were mainly worked in gold and silver.
• In the last decade, mining has become the fundamental pillar of the Peruvian
economy.
