SEED CERTIFICATION OFFICER
 Undertake processing of seed lots
 Sampling the seed lot including re sampling and
sending to ADSCN
 Assigning the lot number and assessing the required
number of tags for each lot
 Undertake validation work in time
 Attending tagging, sealing etc..of seed lots.
 Prepare , maintain and furnish all the reports and
registers expected to do.
 Guiding the seed producers on certified seed
production
 Receiving, scrutinizing and forwarding applications for
the approval of ginning factories / processing plants.
SEED INSPECTOR
 Take samples of any seed of any notified kind or
variety from any person selling such seed
 Act as per Seeds Act 1966
 Examine any record, register, document or any
other material object found in any place and seize
the same as per Seeds Act 1966
 Power to break-open any container in which any
seed of any notified kind or variety may be
contained or to break-open the door of any
premises where any such seed may be kept for sale
 Maintain a record of all inspections made, and
action taken by him in the performance of his
duties
