in writing an essay.

However, we will use OUMH1603

Learning Skills for 21st Century to be the
sample as it is a compulsory subject for
every Undergraduate students.
Steps for Essay Writing
1. Download and Read the instructions, question(s)
& rubric(s) carefully.
2. Analyse the topics and the requirements.
3. Prepare an outline. Use the template given.
4. Search for ideas (information).
5. Read and make notes in the outline.
6. Write the essay.
7. Review and edit.
8. Submit

1. Introduction (refer to page 17 of

2. Main content / Body Paragraph (refer
to page 18 and 19)
3. Conclusion (refer to page 20)
4. References (refer to page 21 and 22)

Start with simple keywords e.g. study skills, time management

As you're writing your paper, you'll want to bring in
evidence to support your claims. You'll generally do this
through paraphrasing and quoting what you've discovered
in step 4.

Paraphrasing will be the most You quote only when

Similarity happens when:

1. Students copy another student’s answer WITH or WITHOUT
consent.
2. More than one student copy a content from the same source
(module, website, journal, etc.) and put it into their answer
without or with very minimal paraphrasing.
