Customizable Icons for Network Elements
Ensemble Controller allows selection of one icon out of a batch of items - representing
the function of the element.

Ensemble Controller provides a subdirectory where additional icons

could be stored by the system admin (with server access rights). They are sorted by
element type or product line (e.g. one directory for R7 or WDM icons, one directory for
Generic NEs, etc).

Users with subnetwork editing rights could change the default icon for every network
element with one of the alternate icons in the "properties" dialog of a network element.
This affects the display in topology. The icon in the tree is not affected.

Services View
• Displays details for each service
• View is filtered according to the NE/network selected in the network tree view or the
selected customer or customer group in the service tree view
• Admin states can be set to Up, Maintenance and Down for each service
• “Operational Status” indicates the current status of the Service

Synchronization View

• The Synchronization view shows

you sync nodes and their relation
to each other.

• User can select items from the map

pane, a corresponding subset of
information about SyncJack™
tests, routes, alarms and events is
displayed in the tab pane.

Event Browsers

Two types of event browsers are available. Active alarms, as well as all events.
Details for each event are displayed i.e. severity, timestamp
Event Counters provide the number of events per severity
Each view can be filtered and sorted
More details are displayed when mouse pointer is hovering over event fields

Indication of Client-Server Connectivity

The connection icon is blinking red, if the NM Server has lost the connection to the
network or if the client has lost its connection to the NM server
Duration of connection loss is displayed

Integration of Online Help Manual
The Online Help manual, located in ws\webapps\manual.war is installed along with the ENC
server. With a single click it is launched on the client.

Global layout Templates, Persisting Detached Windows
A table layout may be saved and re-used application
wide (globally). This is called Global Layout Template.

• Session
Settings saved per user automatically when exiting a session
(terminating the client).
• User
Settings saved per user on request.

Settings saved application globally by authorized users to be
used by all users.
