Slavery in United States
 400 years ago, the first slaves from Africa arrived to United States.
 Owning slaves legalized
 The leaders from the country talked about give a free and plenty of rights life to
everybody, except black men.
 The first years of independence of United States, the slavery raised in big
amounts.
During 250 years possessing
slaves was usual
 Between 1654 and 1865, eternally servitude
was legal
 In 1861 took place the Civil War, the North
against the South.
 The north of United States wanted to finish
the servitude. And the South, instead,
wanted to keep it up.
 Abraham Lincoln, fought to mind the
slavery. He was the responsible who ended
it.
During the next one-
hundred years
After the war black men still didn’t have the same right as white
people.
They couldn’t get a sit in the buses at the front of it.
And the black children had to sign up in special and different
schools to white children.
As well as there was a clan called Ku Klux Klan (KKK) composed
by exsoldier who wanted to separate between black and White races.
They commited terrorist and violent acitions to frighten their
victims.
In 1957, it was established that from that moment black men could
vote for president.….
Martin Luther King
 Martin was a pastor who severely fought for the social justice and the right equality for the black
men. He died at his 39 years life.

 He was awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize which won for combating racial inequality through
nonviolent resistence.

 There assisted 300.000 people to his funeral.


And there was rebellion in 125 different countries.
Barack Obama

 Obama was the first black man candidate to president of United States.
He won the election and became the first black man president from the country.

After 4 years of his presidency, Associated Press made a survey where a seven per
cent more people demonstrated anti-African American feelings.
Actual fact: George Floyd

 George Floyd was a black man, who was killed two weeks ago by a policeman.
 The man paid for a packet of cigarettes with a fake dollar, the shopman called to
the 911 and police came and made the arrest.

 After some struggle the police named Derek Chauvin, put his knee on the neck of
Floyd. After some minutes he couldn’t breathe. And hour later his death was
confirmed.
