Prenatal Care
Prenatal care is the health care that a pregnant
woman and her developing foetus gets while the
mother is pregnant.

It includes your check-ups and prenatal testing.


Prenatal care
 Go to the doctor early and regularly.

 Stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Drugs and alcohol can


lead to still birth, miscarriages. Alcohol can cause the
child to develop fetal alcohol syndrome
 Wear confortable shoes

 Do not take any X rays

The baby should be immunized against diseases that
can cause death or lasting damages.

After giving birth, the mother is given a post natal
check up to make sure that everything is fine.

The mother is also given a check about 6 weeks after


birth. The woman may also get a pap smear to make
sure that the cells of the cervix are not abnormal.

Nations estimates elaborated by Worldometer. The
term "World Population" refers to the human
population (the total number of humans currently
living) of the world.

restricting many families to a single child.
Effects of teenage pregnancy
Teens are at a higher risk for pregnancy-related high
blood pressure (preeclampsia) and its complications
than average age mothers. Risks for the baby include
premature birth and low birth weight.
Preeclampsia can also harm the kidneys or even be
fatal for mother or baby.
 Pregnant teens will have to drop out of school.
