Brief of the Project BEFORE PROJECT SCENARIO

Conservation of Water:
• To reuse the stored rainwater for horticulture or other purposes.
• To reduce damages to the property by reducing ponding and
clearance time.
• To facilitate public movement and avoid traffic hazards during
accumulated rainwater.
• To restore routine activities of the public, affected by the
accumulation of storm water.
• To improve the environmental conditions of the project area.

• Catchment area = 30-Acres

• Ponding area = 03-Acres AFTER PROJECT SCENARIO
• U/G water tank storage capacity = 1.4 MG
• No ponding has been observed during recent
monsoon rainfalls
A SUCCESS STORY • Reduction in extraction of ground water for
horticulture purpose due to reuse of collected
water
• Reduction in surface runoff and less chances of
urban flooding
