Estimation Lecture - 4
Estimation Lecture - 4
Prepare an estimate of a regular hexagonal hall whose one side is 3.0 m. the hall has two
doors in two sides of Size l.2 m x 2 m. other four sides have four windows of size 1.2 m x
1.5 m each. Wall breadth = 30 cm. Slab roof extension = 50 cm from the outside face.
The center length of front half hexagonal portion can be calculated by trigonometrical method as
follows:
[C.L method]
As per plan, taking wall breadth = 0.30 m, then
OR approximately:
L= [(1 .125+0.12)2+ (1.95+0.12)2]0.5 = 2.41
Total center line length of walls = 4.7 4 + (2 x 4.12) + (2 x 2.41) + 2.25 = 20.05 m
