Introduction
Today in present scenario the main prime question in
everyone's mind is that into account ever increasing issues.
Particularly in case of handicapped people.
For handicapped people normal wheel-chair needs more
effort to move the wheel-chair because it will use hands to
move the vehicle.
In this project we are working to make it easier for people
with different kinds of disabilities
In this project a conventional wheel-chair is modified into
an electric scooter and new perspective to use this
technology for handicapped people easier to travel

Literature Review
• According to a survey done by WHO it was found that around 7 lac accidents
occur every year in India. Out of these 2.3 lac people becomes permanently
disabled. Out of these permanently disabled peoples around 50% are disabled by
lower limbs.
• There are different type of vehicle developed for physically handicapped person
like Hybrid Tricycle, Modified scooter which is driven by IC Engine, Solar
operated tricycle, Smart wheelchair etc.
• Cost of Modified scooter is around 70000. Solar tricycle requires photovoltaic cell
which are high in cost.
• An electric scooter is different from a motorized wheelchair, in that the wheelchair
is generally intended for indoor use and usually costs a great deal more.
• Some people are a little wary of purchasing an electric scooter because they fear it
will be difficult to operate. In fact, the control console makes it quite simple once a
person gets the feel for it.

Problem Statement
• The main purpose of this scooter is to make a disabled or
aged person to be self dependent.
• And since it is imported it becomes costly and most of the
people can’t afford to buy it.
• So we have designed it In such a way that it becomes
feasible without compromising the actual need of the
disabled person which includes comfort, speed, reliability,
aesthetic appeal and is according to Indian roads.

2.Battery
• No of batteries used in the tricycle are two. Battery
has the following specification :
• Type: Lead Acid
• Battery Rating: 20Ah
• Voltage:12V
• Total Voltage:12×2=24V
• Output current-1.4A (0.7A variation)
• Energy consumption in 1hour =Ah rating×Voltage
=20×24 =480Wh Or 0.480KWh

RESULTS
1) The maximum distance covered by the vehicle in
single charge is 20 -25 km.
2) The maximum speed of the vehicle is 20 kmph.
3) Speed can be increase by using more capacities
battery and motor which increases the transportation
speed.
4) This Scooter is used as conventional scooter as well
as Electric Scooter using Detachable Component.
5) Reliable to all disabilities and Senior Citizen
