4. Problems encountered

Contractor’s Poor Resource Mobilization


Cash flow problem
Disruption of resource productivity due to lack of
coordination/support from contractor’s
management.
Poor office engineering establishment of the
contractor and as result delay of submittal of badly
needed documents (Reports, Work Program
revision, key staff credentials)
Engineer’s site office Construction Delay.
5.Consultants Directions

Since the project progress is poor when evaluated to


the contractor’s plan, we, the consultant, recommend
the following so that the backlog in the schedule would
be compensated;
• Increase mobilization of resources(material,
manpower& equipment)
• Maximize or revise the working hours in order to
compensate the backlog in the schedule
• Maximize resource utilization
 Make strong & regular communication
with all the stakeholders
 Revise the master work program as per the
contract and act accordingly
 Furnish all documents required from the
contractor to the engineer so that he can
provide his professional assistance in time
of need.
 Timely and scheduled material tests and
requests.
 Provide all facilities to the Engineer’s
representative.
