The Grace to “See”

and Become Signs

of God’s Love.

FIRST ADVENT WEEK

O COME DIVINE
MESSIAH
O come, divine
Messiah!
The world in silence
waits the day
When hope shall sing
its triumph
And sadness flee
away
Dear Savior, haste
Come, come to
earth
Dispel the night
and show your face
And bid us hail the
dawn of grace.
O come, divine
Messiah!
The world in silence
waits the day
When hope shall sing
its triumph
And sadness flee
away
PENETENTIAL ACT
All say:

I confess to almighty God

and to you, my brothers and

in my thoughts and in my

in what I have done and in
what I have failed to do,
through my fault,
through my fault,
through my most grievous
fault; therefore I ask blessed
Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,

GOSPEL:

Matthew 9:27-31
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the
Father;through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down
from heaven, At the words that follow, up to
and including ‘and became man’, all bow.
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the
Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate, he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the
giver of life, who proceeds from the Father
and the Son, who with the Father and the
Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic
Church. I confess one Baptism for the
forgiveness of sins

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who
trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
FOR THE

GLORY ARE
YOURS.

WORLD. HAVE MERCY ON US.

LAMB OF GOD, YOU TAKE

AWAY THE SINS OF THE
WORLD. GRANT US PEACE.
Lord, I am not
worthy
that you should
enter under my roof,
but only say the
word and my soul
shall be healed.
Christ, Be Our
Light
1.Longing for light, we
wait in darkness.
Longing for truth, we
turn to you.
Make us your own, your
holy people,
light for the world to
see.
CHORUS:
Christ be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the
darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in your church
gathered today.
2.Longing for peace,
our world is troubled.
Longing for hope,
many despair.
Your word alone has
power to save us.
Make us your living
voice.
CHORUS:
Christ be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the
darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in your church
gathered today.
3. Longing for food,
many are hungry.
Longing for water,
many still thirst.
Make us your bread,
broken for others,
shared until all are fed.
CHORUS:
Christ be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the
darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in your church
gathered today.
4.Longing for shelter,
many are homeless.
Longing for warmth,
many are cold.
Make us your building,
sheltering others,
walls made of living
stone.
CHORUS:
Christ be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the
darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in your church
gathered today.
5.Many the gifts, many
the people,
many the hearts that
yearn to belong.
Let us be servants to
one another,
making your kingdom
come.
CHORUS:
Christ be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the
darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in your church
gathered today.
SAVE US O
LORD
Refrain:
Save us, O Lord;
carry us back.
Rouse your power
and come.
Rescue your people;
show us your face.
Bring us back.
O Shepherd of Israel,
hear us.
Return and we shall be
saved.
Arise, O Lord;
hear our cries, O Lord:
bring us back!
