• Contemporary arts that combines the past
with the present. By appropriation, the
contemporary artist revive interest to
existing form of art.

• Existing artworks are appropriated to


produce another artwork. (Prints, images,
and icons)

• Performance of contemporary artists has
evolved to emphasize spontaneous,
unpredictable elements of chance,
according to the Walker Art Center.

• Performance artists have tried to interpret


various human activities such as chores,
routines and rituals, to socially relevant
themes such as poverty, commercialism
and war.

installation in malls and parks)

use coffee for painting or curve
