to make him
Share In His Own
Blessed Life #1
• How?
- God draws closer to
us.
- He calls us to seek
him, to know him and
to love him.
- By coming together
as God’s one family,
the Church
• Through?
- Salvation brought
about by the Son’s
redeeming sacrifice
- becoming children of
God and heirs of
blessed life by the Holy
Spirit
2Peter 1:3-4
• His divine power has
bestowed on us
everything that makes
for life and devotion,
through the knowledge
of him who called us by
his own glory and
power.
• Through these, he has
bestowed on us the
precious and very great
promises, so that
through them you may
come to share in the
divine nature.
The purpose of
creating man: God,
infinitely perfect and
blessed in himself, in
a plan of sheer
goodness freely
created man to make
him share in his own
blessed life.
Beatitude: Nothing
else matters.

Be attentive to sound
doctrine (teaching).
History of the Church
shows attentiveness to
sound doctrine (teaching)
• 1 Tim. 4:6 Give these
instructions to the
brothers, (and) you will
be a good minister of
Christ Jesus,
nourished on the
words of faith and of
the sound teaching
you have followed.
2 Tim 4:1-5
• Proclaim the message and,
welcome or unwelcome, insist on it.
Refute falsehood, correct error, give
encouragement -- but do all with
patience and with care to instruct.
The time is sure to come when
people will not accept sound
teaching, but their ears will be
itching for anything new and
they will collect themselves a whole
series of teachers according to their
own tastes; and then they will shut
their ears to the truth and will turn to
myths. But you must keep steady all
the time; put up with suffering; do
the work of preaching the gospel;
fulfil the service asked of you.
