WHY CONDUCT THE STUDY
This study explored the strategies employed by the teachers
in implementing Mother Tongue-based Multilingual Education
(MTB-MLE) and the challenges and problems that they have
encountered, since the education officials firmly believe that
this new policy will be effective in facilitating learning since it
is believed that if children speak with their native tongue, the
fever tendencies of them to be hesitant in answering and
speaking in class.

Challenges and Problems on the use of Mother Tongue, it is essential at teaching practice are
worth maintaining or should be adjusted in the light of current status of mother tongue.
School administrator should provide leadership and layout optimistic goals and visions for the
institution they serve. Teacher refer to the elementary school teachers, And provide insights how to
explain and use mother tongue and knows what are the challenges and problems of the use on
mother tongue.
Using mother tongue as medium of instruction, the parents, teacher within the community will
be aware that their children must use English as well in everyday routine activities as second
language other than in using mother tongue which is used as medium of instruction. They will also
get aware of the innovations in education in order to prepare their children.
