 Presentation topics: Impact of Using Technology in Auditing
on Reducing the Fees of Auditors Offices and Companies in Jordan
 Is a business research?
 Yes is a business research. Business research is a process of acquiring
detailed information of all the areas of business and using such
information in maximizing the sales and profit of the business. Such a
study helps companies determine which product/service is most profitable
or in demand. In simple words, it can be stated as the acquisition of
information or knowledge for professional or commercial purpose to
determine opportunities and goals for a business.
 IS The Research Design ?
 The research design refers to the overall strategy that you choose to
integrate the different components of the study in a coherent and logical
way, thereby, ensuring you will effectively address the research problem; it
constitutes the blueprint for the collection, measurement, and analysis of
data.
 This study uses both quantitative and qualitative data. A survey of 112
auditors, representing three of the Big 4 audit firms as well as ten local
audit firms in Egypt, is used to gather preliminary data, and semi-
structured interviews are conducted to gather details/qualitative-pertained
information. This questionnaire is used first in conducting a pre-test, and
then, the questionnaire for testing the final results is developed based on
the feedback received from the test sample.
 What is an interview in a research?
 In this research they do group unstructured interview. An interview is a
guided purposeful conversation between two or more people. Unstructured
interviews are so labeled because the interviewer does not enter the
interview setting with a planned sequence of questions to be asked of the
respondent. A possible objective of an unstructured interview is to bring
some preliminary issues to the surface so that the researchers can
determine what factors need further in depth investigation.
 Which is good for this article face to face or telephone
interview?
 Face to face interview good for this article. The face-to-face interview,
also called an in-person interview, is probably the most popular and
oldest form of survey data collection. It has continued to be the best
form of data collection when one wants to minimize non response and
maximize the quality of the data collected. Face-to-face interviews are
often used to solicit information in projects that can be considered to be
very sensitive, for example, data collection on sexual behaviors. This
entry describes the advantages and disadvantages of face-to-face
interviewing along with basic operational considerations for successful
interviews.

 Is training an Interviewer important for this study?

 Yes training an interviewer is important in this article. Because A team of

trained interviewers then becomes necessary. Interviewers have to be
thoroughly briefed about the research and trained in how to start an
interview how to proceed with the questions how to motivate respondents
to answer , what to look for in the answers and how to close an interview.
 Is an observation research?

 Yes is an observation research. Observation concerns the
planned watching, recording, analysis, and interpretation of
behavior, actions or events. Various approaches of observation
have been used in business research.
 What types of observation in this research?
 There is one type of observation here in this research. And it is control
observation. Here observer and observe or subject both are controlled. For
systematic data collection control is imposed on both for accuracy and
precision. When observation is pre-planned and definite, then it is termed
as controlled observation. In control observation, mechanical devices are
used for precision and standardized. So, control increase accuracy, reduce
bias, ensure reliability and standardization. Some of the devices are as
under.
 Is this ordinal scale research?
 Yes is a ordinal scale research. Ordinal scale is the 2nd level
of measurement that reports the ranking and ordering of the
data without actually establishing the degree of variation
between them. Ordinal level of measurement is the second of
the four measurement scales.
 Which rating scales is use in this research?
 The following rating scales are often used in this research
 Category scale
 Semantic differential scale
 Numerical scale
 Itemized rating scale
 Is the research sampling?

 Yes the research is sampling. The study population consists of 424

certified auditors in Jordan; a random sample of 280 professional auditors
has been withdrawn; 216 questionnaires were retrieved and 32
questionnaires were excluded that the total number of appropriate
questionnaires was 184. Questionnaires were then collected; afterwards,
the researcher used the SPSS to analyze answers and conclude results.

 What is population in this research?

 In this research terminology the Population can be explain as a

comprehensive group of individuals, institutions, objects and so forth with
have a common characteristics that are the interest of a researcher. The
common characteristics of the groups distinguish them from other
individual, institutions, objects and so forth.
 Which review of probability sampling designs here in this
research?

 The unrestricted or simple random sampling is here. In the simple random

sampling design every elements in the population has a known and equal
chance of being selected as a subject. The complex probability plan
consists of five different sampling designs.
