It is a group of common problems in present-day society and ones that many people strive to solve. If you look closely, you will realize that almost all types of social issues have common origins. A social issue or problem is an issue that has been recognized by society as a problem that is preventing society from functioning at an optimal level What issues go unseen in plain sight? While there already are a ton worth of social and domestic issues circulating in our society, many issues just live under the shadows of the ones that are mainstream and almost no longer a problem. These issues continue to deepen their roots into the already problem tangled lives of humans. Some of these issues that go heavily unnoticed are depression, gender complications and inter-generational conflicts. Depression Depression is a very common and serious medical illness that brings intense change of behavior and many other psychological warfare in a person’s mind. It is different from being sad or grieving. It shouldn’t be considered a Social issue given it’s a medical illness but the stigma behind it is a major factor in making it one. Gender Issues Gender issues have been prevalent in our society since the dawn of humanity. In rural areas, women are imprisoned under the 4 walls of their houses. Women, despite having more parental rights over men, still don’t have much stakes to hold in the property area. Misuse of women rights has started getting more extreme every decade. The term toxic masculinity has been overblown by femi-Nazis to drown out Inter-generational conflict Inter-generational conflict is a major issue why third world countries progress so slow. The clashing thoughts between Teenagers and Millennials is way too much even if they are born only several years apart Clash in thoughts usually go in favor of the older generation, which drags down much of the modernization This sometimes escalates so much that it costs families their relation and social status. Why do these issues go unnoticed? Everyone is too focused on the generic issues that are barely a problem Generational gap in the population Gap of communication between the public and the governers Priorities set by the society Root of these social issues The root of gender equality stems from not only class disputes but deep cultural followings. Inter-generational conflicts are a result of the difference in upbringing and the environment that separates two generations. Depression stems from one or many negative influences on a person’s life whether it be chemical or biological What can be expected about these issues in the future? The equity between the genders might be more as literacy is increasing and awareness is being spread Inter-generational conflict will happen, but the next generation might be more tolerant compared to the previous one Depression rate will continue to grow as it’s a chemical How can we help the situation? These social issues, while very Kafkaesque, are treatable. There are many ways we can help uproot these problems from our society and they are:
Depression can be brought down by proper treatment
Educating people about gender complications could possibly flip the tables on the flawed mentality of the people While Intergenerational conflict is inevitable, understandings can be made to lower the tone of it.
