ABSTRACT
 The idea behind Google assistant-controlled Home automation is to control home devices
with voice. In this project, the Google assistant requires voice commands.

 Blynk account which is a cloud based free IoT web server used to create virtual switches, is linking to
IFTTT website abbreviated as “If This Than That” which is used to create if else conditional statements .

 The voice commands for Google assistant have been added through IFTTT website. As the
user gives commands to the Google assistant, Home appliances like Bulb, Fan and Motor
etc., can be controlled accordingly.

 The commands given through the Google assistant are decoded and then sent to the
microcontroller, the microcontroller in turn control the relays connected to it

 The device connected to the respective relay can be turned On or OFF as per the users
request to the Google Assistant.
OBJECTIVE

 By using IOT, we are successful in controlling the appliances in various areas, in

which one of them is to control the home automation by using Node
Microcontroller.
 As the speech enabled, home automation system deploys the use of voice to control
the devices. It mainly targets the physically disabled and elderly persons.
 The home automation will not work if the speech recognition is poor. The speech
given by the user will be given as input to the Microphone.
 Microphone recognizes the speech given by the person and sends it to the
recognizing module. It searches for the nearest word even if there are any
disturbances in it. If the command (ON/OFF) is given, the action is done

METHODOLOGY
Real Time clock based home automation in an advance project to control the devices
in timely and systematic manner. The devices can be controlled wirelessly from other
places using wireless technology. RTC with EEPROM can record all the working
parameters in the devices or appliances. Basically the project is a concept to bring
automation in the industry or home. All the home appliances will be controlled by
mobile app. The appliances in the industry or home will be interfaced with centralized
micro controller NODE MCU for the systematic working. The inbuilt RTC and
EEPROM present in the controller will be activated for the operation. The controller
also interfaced with WIFI to receive the control commands from Wi-Fi shield (Wi-Fi
hotspot). The operator will be provided with Mobile app having Wi-Fi in that. If
operator wants to switch the Light to turn on or off he needs to switch control button
provided in app. Once he switched the Wi-Fi will send the data to Wi-Fi present at
micro controller. As and when the request is received the micro controller activates
the RTC and EEPROM and as per request received the operation will be done. In the
same way all other appliances can be controlled

LITERATURE SURVEY
 In developed and developing countries the more and more technologies are arriving
every year. And of the most important is the IOT. IOT can be used in many sectors of
the technology. IOT is also used in home automation which helps to make life easy as
well as it is time saving. Smartphone Application can be utilize for the IOT
communication protocols. Application can be used to monitor and control local switches
via mobile phone. Many systems are reported in the literature based on single
monitoring and controlling mode utilizing text, voice or gesture commands. The system
has two different operation modes first mode make use of a mobile app interface with
virtual switches and slider to monitor and control appliances. The second is chatbased
that use text or audio command filter with natural language processing to monitor and
control the home appliances. The proposed system is scalable in that it is able to add and
remove rooms on demand. Most of the technologies which are in the developed are
limited as some as feature of turning light and fan on and off while some has control
over the gate. There is one technology in which website is use to control the home
appliances and in another one there is only mobile application. Different technologies
are developed in different way[1].

CONCEPT:
 This concept taken from internet of things.
Problems with the existing method

There is no inbuilt wi-fi module

It is for only a limited area
It is too costly to buy and assemble
It is not potable in size
It’s only app control
Proposed Method
We using an inbuilt wi-fi module.
It is not for a limited area.
It is less in cost to buy.
It is potable in size.
It can be control with app and voice command
We are using free server.
APPLICATIONS

Lighting control system

Appliance control with a smart grid
Indoor positioning systems
Home automation for elderly and disabled
people
CONCLUSION
 The operating system of the smart mobile phone in android we develop remote control
program. The program connected with wi-fi to communicate with the robot. Wireless control
is the most important basic needs for all the people. Wireless network controlled robots use
wi-fi modules.

 Blynk android application will transmit command using wi-fi to the car so that it can move in
the required direction like moving forward, reverse, turning left, turning right and stop.

 The main barrier towards the acceptance of home automation presently is its high cost. This
paper has studied and reviewed the presently available home automation system. These
systems require additional network devices like hubs for their working, which in turn increase
their cost. By the use of NodeMCU and the IoT platform, these devices can be made cost-
effective. Above all, it will provide great user convenience as it will be possible to control the
devices from a remote location. Using a web page or an application, the system has been made
platform independent. There is no need for any particular operating system so as to operate
this system. The system will provide optimal results.
