Definition of happiness

Happiness is an emotional state characterized


by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment,
and fulfillment.
- Often described as involving positive

emotions and life satisfaction.
- 2 key components are the balance of
emotions and life satisfaction.
- Sense of warmth that begin at the core of the
soul, spreads to the heart and radiates outward
from the eyes and lips of those who know it
-Happiness is a combination of how satisfied
you are with your life and how good you feel
on a daily basis.
-40% controlled by your thoughts, actions and
behaviours – 50% is genetically determined –
10% determined by your circumstances
-Happiness is the knowledge that someone
cares for someone. It is the feeling that if
everything else goes wrong in the life, that
love won’t change.
