Nigeria with a population of over 167million and still counting is the sixth most
populated country in the world after China, India, USA, Indonesia and Brazil
With a population growth of about 2.4 percent, this makes Nigeria the most
populous country in Africa and the largest black nation in the world.
It is Richly endowed with abundant natural and human resources that cuts
across different ethnic groups and nationalities yet ridden by poverty, diseases
and high rate of unemployment.

Undertaking Research
Govt. to improve on existing library laws and legislation in order to support and
better empowers public libraries
NLA and LRCN should be proactive in ensuring the right thing is done
