BLOOD
KIDNEY

as we know kidney has a lot of function

for our body, one of them is excretion
system, generally kidney is separated
into three parts, called cortex, medulla,
and pelvis.
what is the relation between kidney as the
excretion organ and red blood cells ?

The kidneys' job is to filter your blood. They remove wastes, control the body's fluid balance,
and keep the right levels of electrolytes. All of the blood in your body passes through them
about 40 times a day. Blood comes into the kidney, waste gets removed, and salt, water, and
minerals are adjusted, if needed.
do you know how many liters kidney filtrate
plasma of blood every day ?

?
About 180 liters of filtrate is
produced and of that 180 liters, 2
liters of urine is excreted everyday
Is there any relation between kidney
with blood cells as reservoir system ?

As reservoir system kidneys also produce

other hormones that are important for the
body, such as:

Erythropoietin (EPO), which is a hormone

that stimulates the bone marrow to
produce red blood cells. Renin is a
hormone that controls blood pressure.
Calcitriol, which is the active form of
vitamin D, helps maintain bone health.
