language clear and easy to
understand.
IMPORTANCE OF GRAMMATICAL
CORRECTNESS IN WRITING A SPEECH
Using correct grammar when you give a
speech is important to prevent
misunderstanding and misinterpretation
between you and the audience. Good
command of the language helps listeners
understand you quickly.
EXAMPLE:
"The cat sat on the mat."
This sentence follows the
subject-verb-object structure
and uses proper verb tense and
agreement.
GRAMMAR ERROR
This is a term used in prescriptive grammar to
describe an instance of faulty, unconventional, or
controversial usage, such as a ​misplaced modifier
or an inappropriate verb tense.

• Addition
- It is any use of unnecessary items in sentences. 
- Examples: addition of helping verbs, nouns, past participles,
articles, and prepositions.

- It is the lack of element that is supposed to be in the sentence, but
it is omitted.
- Examples: no article, no main verb, no helping verb, no

- It is using the wrong form of words or structures.
