# INTRODUCTION:
 COMMUNICATION – It is a process of sharing our thoughts
and ideas with two or more people.

 There are four required skills for effective communication:-

 Listening
 Speaking
 Reading
 Writing

 In this presentation we will discuss about writing.

 "Writing" is the process of using symbols (letters of the alphabet,

punctuation and spaces) to communicate thoughts and ideas in a
readable form.
# PURPOSE OF WRITING:
 The purpose of writing is to communicate or share ideas, facts, impressions,
analysis, conclusions etc.

 A writer shares his or her experiences with his or her readers.

 It is true that the writer should know how much reading time he could seek
from reader or readers to succeeds in expressing himself.

 A good writer is one, who succeeds not only in making the best possible use
of his time but also in presenting his or her content in such a way that the
reading of which makes the reader, read the content willingly, with interest
and with no sense of loss or wastage of time, extend the duration of reading
thinking and finally contributing his or her best to the cause of writing.
# INTRODUCTION OF SUB-PROCESSES :
 The writing has various sub-processes in itself.

 In writing one has to consistently go back in order to go forward.

 In order to write, the writer has to tap on his memory, assumptions, judgement,
analytical skills, reasoning, logic and knowledge prior to writing as well as during
writing.

 The sub-processes of writing includes

the following steps:

1) Prewriting : (germination of ideas)

2) Drafting : (shaping the skeleton)
3) Revising : (redrafting what is said,
anything not said, anything unclear,
elimination and expression)
4) Editing : (the choice of words, their connotations, sentence-
building, paragraph-building, precision, grouping etc.)
5) Publishing : (submit work)
# SUB-PROCESSES IN BRIEF:
 For giving thought process a voice and a face brimming
with life, all these processes are to be systematically
undertaken.
Prewriting :
 Prewriting is important as it is the
first stage of writing.
 Writer choose topic and narrow down
the points. Also determines the purpose
of writing.

 Writer consider his audience whom he

needs to address.
 Find idea and try to develop your
idea and accumulate information
that support your idea.
 Plan and structure the idea.
Drafting:
Drafting is putting points and ideas
on paper and arrange these points
in a readable manner.
Research on topics at the prewriting
stage and then accumulate the entire
information at this stage.
First, do a rough draft and then arrange points in a best
possible way
and prepare a final
draft.
Revising:
Revising is another imperative stage, where a draft is
scrutinized thoroughly and points incorporated in the
draft are rearranged.
At this stage, new points are added and some points are
replaced and removed as per the requirements.
However, revision is indispensable to make the outlook
of the writing catchy
and cogent.
Editing:
 Fine the tone of the writing and check each line thoroughly.
 Check spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure,
document format and other things.
 Check the entire content as mistakes should not leave behind.
 However, editing is the stage where writers can modify their
lines as well as theme.
It is always better
to give your writing
to someone for
editing.
Publishing:
  Publishing is the last stage where writers submit their
work to the publisher.
 Make sure your written document should be completed
before giving to the publisher.
 However, each writer’s goal is to publish his work and
reach to
the readers..
# Conclusion:
 Writers have their own writing process as per their preference and
they follow those steps naturally. Whenever they get stuck with
some tough topics, they follow the steps which are familiar to all to
stimulate their ideas in a right manner. It starts with prewriting and
ends with publishing.
 Whether you write essays, business materials, fiction, articles,
letters, or even just notes in your journal, your writing will be at its
best if you stay focused
on your purpose.
 Your audience and
writing purpose will
determine your writing
style.
