JOURNEY
• The Israelites, descendants of Abraham.
Fled to live in exile in egypt due to femine.
The terrified to the israelites expansions so
they enslaved them.
• God heard their prayers and decided to lead the
Israelites out of Egypt. He then called on Moses.

• Moses now therefore, behold the cry of the


children is come to me and I have also seen
oppression with which the Egyptians opress
them. Come now therefore I will send you to
pharoah, that you may bring forth my people
the children of Israel out of Egypt (EXODUS
3:9-10)
• Moses went to see the
Egyptians Pharoah with
god's command. But the
pharaoh would not agree
to release the Israelites.
The stubborn Pharoah did
not give in. Until god
unleashed ten plagues.
• The israelites finally departed from
egypt under god's guidance.

• These are the stages of israel's journey from
egypt,according to their respective groups led by MOSES and
AARON. according to yaweh's command,moses recrded every
stage of their journey from the beginning.

The israelites left rameses on the month,the day after passover.


they left Egypt very quickly, clearly visible to the Egyptians while
they were busy burying their firstborn that Yahweh had killed.
yahweh showed that he is more powerful that the gods of Egypts.
•They stayed in Succoth after leaving Rameses. They set up camp in
Etam, near the edge of the forest, after leaving Succoth. They camped
next to Migdol after traveling back to Pi Hahiroth from Etam, which is
east of Baal-zephon. After leaving Pi Hahiroth, they proceeded across
the water and into the forest. They walked through the Etam bush for
three days before setting up camp in Mara. They continued on from
Marah to Elim. They set a camp where they discovered 70 palm trees
and 12 springs. They set up camp near the Red Sea after leaving
Elim[a]; from there, they tented in the Sin wilderness. 12 They set
their camp in Dofca after leaving the Sin wilderness. 13 They moved
on to Alus from Dofca. 14 They set up camp at Rephidim, which
lacked clean water, after leaving Alus.
• Along the route from Rephidim to Mount Hor, they camped at the
following locations: the wilderness of Sinai, Kibroth-hataava, Hazeroth,
Ritma, Rimon-farez, Libna, Rissa, Ceelatha, Mount Sepher, Harada,
Maquelot, Tahath, Tare, Mitca, Ashmona, Moserot, Bene-yaacan, Hor-
haguidgad, Jotbat

38–39 Aaron the priest ascended to Mount Hor at the direction of Yahweh.
At the age of 123, he passed away there. It had been forty years since they
had left Egypt on the first day of the fifth month. 40 The Israelites' arrival
at Mount Hor was reported to the king of Arad, who ruled in southern
Canaan.

• 41-49 The Israelites camped in the following locations between Mount


Hor and the Moabite plains: Zalmona, Punon, Oboth, Iye-Abarim in
Moabite territory, Dibon-gad, Almondiblataim, the mountains of Abarim
close to Mount Nebo, and in the Moabite plains beyond the Jordan and
opposite Jericho, between Bethjesimon and Abelsitim.
• The Canaanite frontier. When the Israelites were in the
Moabite plains, Yahweh instructed Moses to tell the people:
"After you cross the Jordan to Canaan, 52 drive out the
people there, break their stone statues and images, as well as
their temples on the hill. 53 Take possession of that land and
live there because I am giving you that land. 54 Divide the
land among each tribe, and the division will be based on the
size of the tribe, with a large portion going to the large clan,
