a text that explains or
helps us how to make or
use something.
PURPOSE

• To describe how something is completely


done through a sequence of steps
GENERIC STRUCTURE
• Goal : It contains the purpose of the text. (e.g :
How to Make Salad)
• Material or Ingredient : it contains the materials
that used in the process. (e.g : the material to
cook omelet are egg, onion, vegetable oil, etc. )
• Step : it contains the steps to make something.
(e.g : first, wash the tomatoes, onion, ….,
second cut the onions becomes slice. . . )
LANGUAGE FEATURES
• Use adverbial of sequence / Using temporal
conjunction (e.g: first, second, third, the last)
• Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : put
the noodles on the . . ., cut the onion. . ., wash
the tomatoes. . . )
• Using action verb
• Using Simple Present Tense
How to Use ATM Card to Withdraw Money from ATM
Machine
If you want to withdraw money from ATM, please prepare the following things:
1. Automated Teller Machines (ATM)
2. Bank account
3. ATM Card
4. Balance

There are few steps to withdrawal cash from ATM:

First, insert your ATM card in the ATM machine. You have to put your card where you may see a blinking
green light in the machine and you have to insert your card as the picture shows; otherwise the machine
could not be able to read your card.

Second, select any language you like. This is the easiest task to do I think.
 
Next, enter your PIN number. This is one of the most important parts. Use Keypad to enter your 4 digit pin
and make sure that there is no camera or anyone seeing your pin number before entering the pin.

After that, choose transaction Type. In this phase, you can see some options displayed in the screen such
as Withdraw Money, Deposit Money, Balance Enquiry, Bill Pay etc. For withdrawal cash, you have to
choose Withdraw Money option.
