GROUP ACTIVITY!

Divide the class into 4 groups.

In your group, ask each of the members one movie that

you already watched. Decide which movie are you going
to use to make a group critique.  Using the guide
questions, each member of the group will present their
answers to the class. After all the members presented
their reviews, give a star rating to the movie. (1 being the
lowest and 5 being the highest)
1. Can you give me a brief opinion of
the main characters? Did you
understand who was who and what
their problems/goals were?  Any
characters you felt you were
supposed to like, but didn’t? 
2. Does the opening of the
movie grab you?  Why? In
what scene?
3. Did the plot keep you
engaged? Did the overall act
make sense?Why?
4. After watching the first
scene,
what expectations did you
have for the story? Were
those expectations fulfilled?
5. Was the climax both
inevitable and yet
unexpected?
6. What are the strong and
weak points of the movie?
