WHAT IS A MESSAGE?

A message is a communication
conveyed from one person to
another or from group to
group to inform the recipient
about a given task or project.

number of marks for each question or part

• To pass this section, the candidate should meet the

• Read the INSTRUCTIONS carefully and follow them.
• Read the questions carefully and understand what is
required before you start writing.
• Clearly indicate who is the sender, and who is the
receiver in your message.

Messages are helpful incase you cannot contact the
receiver directly.
Messages connect the sender to the receiver.
When writing messages you should be clear to the receiver
on what you want to accomplish.

HOW TO ANSWER PART2-MESSAGE WRITING.
The whole paper takes 40 minutes.
The total mark for this paper is 35.
• Punctuate your message using correct punctuation

the limited number of words means wasting time because
the examiners will only mark and stop where the limited
