STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The main objective of this study is to determine the coping strategies of the
Bakeshop owners on the present inflation rate in the Municipality of Sto. Niño.
Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the bakeshop owners in


the municipality of Sto. Niño in terms of:
1.1 Age
1.2 Sex
1.3 Marital Status
1.4 Educational Background
1.5 Number of Business Owned
2. What are the coping strategies of the Bakeshop
owners in Municipality of Sto. Niño on the present inflation
rate in terms of:
2.1 cost of product/service
2.2 purchasing
2.3 product, supply, and demand

3. Is there a significant difference among the coping


strategies of Bakeshop owners in the Municipality of Sto.
Niño?
HYPOTHESES
Alternative Hypothesis
There is a significant difference among the coping
strategies of bakeshop owners in the Municipality of Sto.
Niño.

Null Hypothesis
There is no significant difference among the coping
strategies of bakeshop owners in the Municipality of Sto.
Niño.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The main purpose of this study is to determine the coping
strategies of bakeshop owners on the present inflation rate
in the Municipality of Sto. Niño for the last quarter of 2022.
Five bakeshops in the Municipality of Sto. Niño will be
selected as the subject of the study. The Dato-on
Bakeshop, Wang Bakeshop, Je-an’s Bakeshop, Dat’z
Bakeshop, and BBM Bakeshop. The respondents will be
given a questionnaire to prevent bias and objective
perception.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The significance of the study is to determine the
coping strategies of Bakeshop owners in the
Municipality of Sto. Niño. The result of this study is
beneficial to the Municipality, Bakeshop Owners,
Customers, Students, Researchers, Future
Researchers because this can give empirical data to
found out if the coping strategies is effective or not.
  This research study benefits to the following:
Municipality
It helps them to construct strategies
and methods on how to study cases
of inflation rate. This could also give
them a hint on how to encourage
bakeshop owners to survive the
inflation rate cases.
Bakeshop Owners
This study will also benefit the
bakeshop owners to manage and
directs their activities at a bakeshop by
overseeing the work of employees, the
ordering of supplies, and creating
marketing products and schedule.
Customers
The customers are able to be
concern of the increasing prices of the
products so that they can buy less to
save their household budget. It will
pursue them to buy their necessary
needs instead of their wants.
Students
The students can be aware of
the inflation rate to determine their
transportation wages, to budget
their allowance, and to cope up
with the inflation rate.
Researchers
The study will benefit the researchers
who are still searching for the result that
will give them information about inflation
rate cases and its possible effects. They
can also benefit by being informed of how
important inflation rate is.
Future Researchers
This research study can be basis to have
more ideas regarding the coping strategies of
Bakeshop owners despite of inflation rate. This
will give them more information on how we did
this study that can be useful for their research.
It can also help them make to continue the
research for this is one of the problems in our
community.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
The following terminologies were carefully defined by the researchers
based on their purpose and application in the study.

Bakeshop Owners- these are owners of the bakeshop in the


Municipality of Sto. Niño and will serve as the respondents of the
study.

Coping Strategies- refers to the ways and means on how the


bakeshops in the municipality of Sto. Niño combat the present inflation
rate.
Customers- these are persons who bought products
in the bakeshop.

Inflation rate- substantial increase of price in goods and


supply in the bakeshop and the problem of the
research study.

Products- these are the goods that is sold in the


bakeshop.

RESEARCH DESIGN
This study used descriptive-normative research design
to determine the coping strategies of the bakeshop
owners on the present inflation rate in the municipality of
Sto. Niño for the last quarter of 2022. It addresses the
research problem effectively where the resulting data is
compared with norm. It is to clearly manifest their
strategies in coping up with the present inflation rate.
LOCALE OF THE STUDY
RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY
The respondents of the study are the five
bakeshop owners in the municipality of
Sto. Niño, the Dato-on Bakeshop, Dat’z
Bakeshop, Je-an’s Bakeshop, Wang
Bakeshop, BBM Bakeshop.
SAMPLING TECHNIQUES
In order to collect data, this study used purposive
sampling to determine the coping strategies of bakeshop
owners on how they cope up with the present inflation
rate. Despite with increasing prices of goods and
services the bakeshop owners are able to manage their
business to stand still and think of some strategies for
their business. These five bakeshop owners were
selected purposely in this study to collect the data of its
study.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS
The researcher will gather data on the study
about coping strategies of bakeshop owners in
the Municipality of Sto. Niño. We also prepared
a survey questionnaire, containing various
strategies, ways and means to combat inflation
rate with regards to the certain topic we made
above-mentioned study.
STATISTICAL TREATMENT
After the conduct of survey and retrieval of
questionnaire, the data were properly
organized, tabulated, analyze and interpreted
using the following statistical tools:
To determine the significant difference
among the coping mechanisms of Bakeshops,
f-test was used.
