*Building hospitals in Sri Lanka was started during the 8th century by
king sena II .

*his main innovative is for the diagnosis of disease; for the


treatment, both medical and surgical, of the sick and the injured;
and for their housing during this process of the Sri Lankans.

*Lord buddha also say "Health is the greatest gain and contentment
the greatest wealth that a person born to this world can possess“
this also helped for the growth of medical industry in ancient times.

*Mihinthale Hospital is the oldest and the first hospital built in Sri
lanka by king sena II.

several places, with the surface of the toilets and urinals were decorated with
beautiful carvings.

* They even added to the urinals of several clay pots to put one on top of
the other so that waste water is filtered before it is released into the soil.

condition and the hygiene of the people.
