How we could raise awareness?

• Killing dogs wouldn`t be beneficial at all. Instead, it would

destroy food chains. People still kill dogs. We have to protest!
A law should be added that anyone who kills dogs, will be
reported the government and will be punished. We should
build more vets so that more dogs could be
vaccinated and not harm anyone. In addition to that, we
should open more shelters, to help provide dogs with a better
life. We should also donate to shelters in order to enhance
them make an even better place for dogs. We can`t stay
silent!
How we could know if a dog is sick?

o Dogs catch viruses. So, these viruses are transmitted to

people, which will harm people. So, what should we do?
We have to find out if the dog has any viruses, in order to
help it get treated. We could know that by spotting the
following symptoms:
*Shivering
*Fever
*Thirst
*Extreme feeling of pain
*Jaundice (when they eyes are yellow)
*Eye redness
Unfortunately, not all dogs show symptoms that they`re
sick. However, whenever you spot any of the following
symptoms, you should directly take the dog to the vet.
How dogs get the viruses?

 They could get rabies from other infected animals.

Rabies is spread through the saliva so if a dog is bitten
by an infected animal their saliva will go into the blood of
the non-infected dog and it’ll get infected. They can also
get it if they have an open wound or scratch that has
made contact with the infected dog
 Salmonella is spreads to the dog in four ways, either
through contaminated food, through the feces of an
infected dog, through the saliva of another infected
animal or through eating raw eggs or raw chicken.
 A dog may get infected by finding an infected dog’s
feces, vomit or through its saliva.
What antibiotics help the white blood
cells fight off pathogens?

Many antibiotics help the white blood cells fight off

pathogens, for example:
-Beta-lactams
-Sulfamethoxazole
-Vancomycin
-Clindamycin

There are also things inside the white blood cells to help
fight off pathogens, like in phagocytes they engulf and
destroy the pathogens and that process is called
“Phagocytosis”. Then there are lymphocytes which
release antibodies that kill the pathogens on the spot.
Why are we against killing street dogs?

Killing street dogs is an act of cruelty and it shouldn’t be

performed. This might cause many ecological disasters as it
may disrupt the food chains. The decrease in the number of
dogs might affect other organisms and its predators’ number
would decrease as well. We shouldn’t kill them, instead we
should find ways to help cure and protect them. Street dogs
benefit us as they are also scavengers which means they eat
rodents and get rid of them. As a result, this give a less chance
of diseases for all the humans, since the rodents themselves
carry their diseases. Also, in places where they feed the strays,
they are loyal to its people and protect them at night. They
usually don’t bite or attack any humans unless they’re
provoked or feel threatened.
Types of diseases
It is always best to take precautions and not go close to a stray dog as they might bite you
and as a result, you might catch some of these diseases. When the dog bites into someone’s
skin, it transfers harmful bacteria or viruses into the person’s bloodstream which causes the
victim to be put at risk in catching illnesses or one of these diseases. One of the best ways
to reduce any of these infections is by washing the wound with water and liquid soap.
Some types of diseases that spread through dog bites are rabies, noroviruses, salmonella
and pasteurella. Rabies and noroviruses are viral infections; on the other hand, Salmonella
is a bacterial infection. Rabies are transmitted to the human’s body through the bite of a
rabid mammal. It infects the central nervous system of mammals. The rabies’ first symptoms
are similar to the flu symptoms such as weakness, discomfort, fever and headaches. The
rabies’ victims may progress afterwards and present agitation, anxiety, confusion and
hallucination. This disease ends after 2-10 days. Noroviruses are spread when having direct
contact with an infected person. Their symptoms are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and
stomach pain. They last from 1-3 days. Salmonella is spread through having straight contact
with an infected animal and touching any infected surfaces is a bacterial infection. It is a
bacterial infection that affects the intestinal area. Some humans do not show any sign of any
symptoms; however, some symptoms may start to appear like diarrhea, fever, headaches
and stomach cramps. These symptoms usually last from a few days to a week.
How does Pathogens affect the
cells of the human body?

 Pathogens cause illness to the host of the

cells through a lot of ways. The most obvious
way is through direct damage of tissues or
cells during replication, generally through the
production of toxins, which allows the
pathogen to reach new tissues or exit the
cells inside which it replicated.
 Sometimes bacteria multiply so rapidly they
crowd out host tissues and disrupt normal
function. Sometimes they kill cells and
tissues. Sometimes they make toxins that
can paralyze, destroy cells.
There are a verity of ways we can help and cure street dogs
like:
•Arrange for shelter and regular food.
•Adopt and support stray dogs.
•Vaccinate and sterilize/neuter.
•Raise awareness and learn the laws.
•Prevent and report cruelty.
•Rescue a lost or abandoned dog.
How can we cure street dogs?
•Organize a Dog Welfare program.
•Contact an animal shelter or a community dog center.
•Contact an animal shelter or a community dog center.
