Hydropower or water power is power derived from the energy of falling

water or fast running water, which may be harnessed for useful purposes.
Since ancient times, hydropower from many kinds of watermills has been
used as a renewable energy source for irrigation etc.

• The government of China wanted to accomplish a task to make China
a more efficient and better place. The government thinks that  The
use of hydroelectric turbine generators will reduce China’s. The Three
Gorges Dam will produce about 84.6 billion kilowatt hours of clean
energy annually. China is well aware that hydropower is only
renewable energy sector that can be used on large scale within its
borders and is therefore making large investments in
hydropower sector in order to reduce coal dominance, especially
because coal has very negative impact on the environment causing
acid rains.
