Short Summary

A French pilot in the middle of his flight back home starts

presenting technical difficulties with his plane, in order to
prevent the plain from damaging in the middle of the air, or
presenting other similar failure, he decides to stop in the
Saharan desert, away from any kind of human civilization.
While he stayed in the desert trying to fix his airplane he
meets the Little Prince, a young boy who comes from outer
space (asteroid B 612). The little prince talks with the pilot
about his adventures through multiple planets and about his
learnings and experiences, regarding the people he met and
the ideals of the big people.
Relation with the Class
Topic:
• Creativity and innocence tend to be eradicated by imposing
ideas (in the case of the Little Prince) or by denying other
to develop their own ideas (in the case of Fahrenheit 451).
Violence is not always linked to a physical or belligerent
aggression, it can be evidenced generally by segregating
and discriminating other people´s thoughts.

• Like in Fahrenheit 451, the little prince exposes the genuine

value of the individual perception someone may have
related to a specific event. When everybody is enforced to
think in the same way, such as the big people, and indirect
social tyranny emerges within the present community.
