WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
AND HEALTH (OSH)
PROGRAMMING?
▪ Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) deals with all
aspects of health and safety in the workplace and has a
strong focus on primary prevention of hazards. Its goal is
to prevent accidents and harm to people from work-
related activities.
▪ According to the International Labour Organization
(ILO) OSH can be defined as the discipline dealing with
the prevention of work-related injuries and diseases as
well as the protection and promotion of the health of
workers.
IMPORTANCE OF OHS PROGRAM
