INTRODUCTION
LITERATURE REVIEW

• Most common cause of deaths for fire-related fatalities is gas or smoke

• The Active Fire Suppression Systems helps to extinguish fire and minimize
the exposure to smoke, heat and toxic gases.

• Water mist system will suppress fire on different impact depending of the
design of a nozzle
LITERATURE REVIEW

• Water mist system uses 80% less water than the conventional traditional
sprinklers

• An increase in operating discharge pressure of water mist nozzles

contributes to the reduction in the fire extinguishment time
LITERATURE REVIEW

• The effective size of mist is 100 µm for the better performance of

extinguishment time
• Tiny water mist droplet turn unto vapor, a great amount of energy is
absorbed from the fire. This makes water mist an excellent choice for fire
protection
• Water mist prevents and reduces damage to people and property.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

• Due to the commercial water mist system is overpriced and it is

also design for big houses and establishments.

• Poorer and average families could not provide a household water

mist system in their houses. Also, traditional water sprinkler is
common.
OBJECTIVES
• The objectives of this study are
• (1)To develop a new study of household water mist system
• (2)To design an automated household water mist system
• (3)To reduce extinguishment time of fire
• (4)To produce an economical household water mist system
Proposed solution

• Thisstudy proposed to design and fabricate an automated economical

household water mist system. Also, this system is economical. It uses basic
materials such as; high-pressure water mist machine, nozzle, pvc pipes,
smoke detector, and pure water
• The household water mist system applicable in any local subdivisions,
villages, shanty town and squatter area.
Scope and limitation
• This study focuses on the automation on household water mist system. This
study will be limit using water only for the mist. This will not include any
additives on water. This study will use only the connection of the faucet. This
will not use any tanks. This study will only use economic nozzle. This study
fabricates only a high-pressure water mist machine and design a system of
water mist that suitable only for poor to average houses. Also, this study will
focus on small to average houses since the design focuses its economical and
accessibility of the average and the poor families. The purpose of this study is
to provide risk-free and fire prevention of their houses.
