TEMPEST

 CHAPTER 1: THE ISLAND
• Prospero is the Duke of Milan. Miranda is Prospero’s daughter.
• Prospero learns magic and Antonio his brother is angry.
• “I want to be the Duke” Antonio says.
• Alonso the King of Naples attacks Milan. Antonio helps the King.
• They put Prospero and Miranda in a little boat.
• The boat comes to a magic Island. The King of the island is the monster Caliban.
• Magic spirits live on the island, too.
• Prospero is now the King of the island and Miranda is sixteen years old.
• One day, Prospero sees a ship near the island. King Alonso and Antonio are on the
ship! Prospero is angry and calls his spirit friend Ariel.
 CHAPTER 2: THE TEMPEST
• Prospero asks Ariel to make a magic storm to attack the ship “The men
on the ship must not die”, he says.
• So Ariel makes a tempest with wind and rain. “The King’s son Ferninand
has to land alone” Ariel remembers.
• On the ship, the men jump into the water and swim.
• When the strom stops, Ariel tells Prospero “All men are alive. They are
sleeping on different parts of island”.
• The next day Miranda and Prospero ask Caliban “bring us wood for a
fire“.
• “Okay okay”, says Caliban. He is angry with Prospero. He wants his
island back.
 CHAPTER 3: PRINCE FERDINAND
• Ariel sings to Prince Ferdinad “your father is dead”. Ferdinand cries and follows the
music.
• Ferdinand meets Miranda a Prospero. He loves Miranda immediately.
• “I am the king of Naples, now”, Ferdinand says. My father is dead. Prospero is angry .
“You are not a King, you are a spy”.
• Ferdinand takes out his sword and Prospero, by magic, makes him a prisoner. Ferdinand
does not care. He is in love with Miranda.
• Prospero calls Ariel: “I have more work for you…”
CHAPTER 4: THE KING AND THE DUKE
• King Alonso Antonio Gonzalo and Sebastian are on a different part of the island.
• Alonso wants to find his son Ferdinand.
• Gonzalo and Alonso are sleeping. Antonio wants to kill King Alonso.
• Gonzalo listens to Ariel “wake up…” they are safe… for now.
• They are all hungry and tired. Suddenly, Ariel appears… “Antonio: your son is dead.
Remember Prospero? You have to pay your past crimes”.
• Alonso runs away into the forest. “Oh, my son!” He cries.
• Gonzalo, Sebastian and Antonio follow him
 CHAPTER 5: LOVERS AND FOOLS
• Ferdinand and Miranda meet in cave.
• “I want to marry you” says Ferdinand. “I love you” says Miranda.
• Prospero is very happy “my plan is working”.
• In a different part of the Island Caliban is angry “I’m The King of the
Island” he says.
• Caliban meets Trinculo the King's fool.
• Then, Stephano, Alonso's butter arrives.
• Caliban convinces them to kill Prospero.
• Suddenly, Ariel appears and sings to them.
• They follow Ariel's music.
 CHAPTER 6: HAPPY ENDING
• Prospero tells Ferdinand “you can marry my daughter”.

• The goddess of the Island sing to them. Then, Ariel arrives and tell Prospero “Caliban and the two
fools want to kill you”.

• So Prospero calls some spirit dogs and they attack Stephano, Trinculo and Stephano so they run away.

• Suddenly, Antonio, Alonso, Sebastian and Gonzalo arrive.

• They are sorry for their past crimes.

• Prospero tells Alonso “your son and my daughter are in love”.

• Alonso is very happy to see Ferdinand.

• Ariel brings the ship and Caliban says “I’m sorry Master”.

• Finally, Prospero is alone. “Good bye, my book” He says and throws it into the sea.

• Then, he breaks his magic stick and throws it into the ground.

• “No I am a man with no magic to help me” he says “but I am the Duke of Milan again and I can go
home happily”.
