Chat GPT: Can it be an alternative to
Google Search?
• Chat generative pre-trained transformer (ChatGPT) is a chatbot launched by OpenAI in
November 2022. It trained the model to have conversations with the user on the other
end.
 Why is google worried?
• Experts believe that Google not only has Chat GPT to worry about but also other
organisations who are working on similar models because these AI chatbots can give a
more exact response to the query with an added advantage of a human touch.
Does google have a counter plan?
• Google knew where the world is moving and it already showcased its chatbot back in
2021. Google’s technology is called Language Model for Dialogue Application (LaMDA). It
is a chatbot system based on some of the most advanced large language model in the
world.
