Three extracts were prepared from lyophilized OP using different solvent ratios and extraction methods. The extracts were placed in a water bath for 3 hours then centrifuged and filtered. The extracts were then tested for their ability to reduce E.coli microbial growth.

Extracts preparation • 3 extracts were prepared in three separate ways : first extract containing lyophilized OP using distilled water as a solvent 1:4(w/v) second extract containing a ratio of 1:5 (w/v) Third extract using a 60% ethanol solution • The extracts were placed in a water bath at 45°c for 3h • The they were centrifuged at 7000g for 15min • The extracted liquid was filtered using a vacuum filtration system Microbial reduction results
