background a) Treatment through the use of medicines for a disease is one of the methods allowed in Islam. It as a business or human endeavor to cure diseases. The disease is the term used to point out one's inability works normally or normally physically, mentally, spiritually nor social. An illness occurs when Allah SWT attracts favors of a person, whether at the cellular level, the organs (heart, lungs, kidneys, brain and others) and body systems (nerves, muscles, blood and others). b) Every disease has its medicine and the healing power of the disease is power Allah SWT alone. Medicines do not cure diseases but are the cause for the healing of a disease. The relationship between illness and the medicine is mentioned in the Qur'an and the hadith as follows: The Word of Allah SWT which means: "And when I'm sick, then He cures my illness." Surah al-Syu`ara ': 80 c) In accordance with the requirements of syarak, body health is wrong one of five aspects that needs to be preserved. Hence, any treatment such as taking medicines claimed for abortion and restore health. Accordingly, the Prophet Muhammad SAW explaining that God has prepared for every such illness medicines and drugs prohibit a person from dealing with a thing banned. d) The contents of the materials used must be pure and not sourced from unclean substances except under circumstances emergency. The necessity of using the prohibited things under the circumstances this is based on the method of “fikah” e) However, emergencies should be clearly understood so it is not manipulated to require the prohibited thing. Between the conditions of emergency determination are as follows: 5 (i) The state of emergency shall apply indefinitely or on the basis of presumption which is strong, not an uncertain one. It gives harm or the destruction of five basic things, namely religion, life, reason, heredity and wealth. (ii) A person in an emergency means he is dealing with situations that conflict with orders or prohibition of syarak. For example, the absence of a halal drug to treat the patient but rather drugs that contain stools. (iii) It must be ensured that the existence of other halal objects can not avoid harm to the patient. (iv) The taking of medicines containing the illegal element is simply the only requirement, that is to eliminate the illness or harm solely. (v) At the time of medication, taking medicines containing elements non-halal should be under the direction and advice of a doctor. f) If the emergency has lapsed, then the law uses the matter which is banned back to the original, that is illegal. It is based on the method fikah as follows: "Something permitted for use due to fall illness with the loss of that illness." g) Understanding and appreciation of halal and haram in all matters Medicines including clinical practice are very important and need to be given attention by all parties.
