 Pronouns are the words that replace
naming words.
For Example: I, We, You, He, She, It
and They.

FIRST PERSON
The term ‘First Person’ refers to the
speaker himself (i.e., “I” and “We”).
For Example:
I = Karan WE =
Nita,
Karan
and Mira
SECOND PERSON
The term ‘Second Person’ refers to the
speaker’s audience (i.e., “You”).
For Example:
You = Mira
THIRD PERSON
The term ‘Third Person’ refers to
everybody else (i.e., “He”, “She”, “It” and
“They”).
For Example:

1. My name is Raju. I am six years old.


2. Sameer is a good boy. He sings well.
3. My mother’s name is Rama. She is a nurse.
4. The students are in the class. They are reading.
5. Robin and I are friends. We like to play together.
6. Ram has a dog. It is brown in colour.
