What is Battleship Sudoku?

Battleship is a two-player strategy

guessing game. It's played on
ruled grids (paper or board) with
each player's fleet of warships
marked on them. The locations of
the fleets are hidden from the
other player. Players take turns
calling "shots" at the opposite
player's ships, with the goal of
destroying the opponent player's
fleet.
The fleet of classic
Battleship
Submarines are made up of a single round segment,
destroyers of two end segments, cruisers of two end
segments and a middle segment, and battleships of two
end segments and two middle segments. Any remaining
squares in the grid include water segments, which are
represented by a water symbol.

What does it represent?
Each Battleship puzzle shows an ocean with a
hidden fleet of ships that may be placed
horizontally or vertically within the grid so that
no ship hits another, even diagonally. The
numbers on the right and bottom of the grid
indicate how many squares in each row and
column are occupied by ship segments. Some
squares may contain given ship or water
segments to help start the puzzle. The goal is to
figure out where all of the ships are.
Battleship tips
• Start with the rows and columns which contain only
water.
• Continue with the rows and columns containing the
highest number of ship segments.
• In many cases, a new ship segment is directly
followed by several water segments.
Battleship
tips
• When stuck, try to eliminate
possibilities by checking where the
longer ships can not fit in.
• Always double check before placing a
ship or a water segment.
• Never guess! Only make moves based
on logical deductions
