 Tujuan Pembelajaran

Di akhir kegiatan pembelajaran, siswa diharapkan dapat:

• Mengidentifikasi, memberikan pujian dan mengungkapkan tanggapan terhadap pujian

dengan benar.

• Membuat percakapan tentang pujian kepada seseorang dan bagaimana menanggapi pujian
dengan benar.
 Compliment

Compliment adalah ungkapan pujian yang diberikan seseorang kepada orang lain untuk
menghargai sesuatu. Tidak hanya pujian untuk seseorang, pujian juga dapat diungkapkan
untuk mengungkapkan kekaguman terhadap sesuatu atau suasana tertentu.
 Kapan kita mengungkapkan pujian?
• On daily basis
• When someone has done his/her best.
• When you visit someone’s house for the first time.
• If you notice something new about someone’s appearance.

Can you think of other situations when you need to compliment?

 Structure of Compliment

• Noun/pronoun + like/love + noun phrase

Example: I like your dress.

• What + a/an + adjective + noun phrase

Example: What a big house.

• Pronoun (this/that) + is + a/an + adjective + noun

Example: That is a beautiful t-shirt.

• How + adjective + noun + is/are

Example: How beautiful flower is.

• Noun phrase + is/look + adjective

Example: The woman’s bag looks wonderful.
