Four reasons why we celebrate the

Lord’s Day
1. The Lord’s Day is a time for rest or
withdrawal from work. This is for us to
juvenate physically and emotionally from
the rigors of work.

2. It is a time devoted for prayer and


reflection. Since we are free from the rigor
of labor, we are emotionally free and
disposed to contemplate on our relationship
with God.
3. It is a time devoted to doing acts of charity
for our own family, relatives and the
community, especially for those who are in
need.

4. For us Filipinos, Sunday is a time for


communing with one’s family as they say,
“The family that prays together stays
together”
