OF DRAPING
DRAPING
• is the technique of using a large towel or sheet to
keep you covered while you're getting a massage
• allows you to be totally nude under the sheet or
towel and still feel safe, warm, and unexposed
• Using draping, the massage therapist only works
on the part of the body that is exposed -- your
back, one arm or one leg, for instance
• The rest of the body is covered

METHODS
POSTERIOR LEG DRAPE
• A drape used to expose
either the left or right
posterior (BACK OF LEG)
leg but keep the rest of
the body, except the
head, covered.
ANTERIOR LEG DRAPE
• A drape used to expose
either the left or right
anterior leg (front of
leg)but keep the rest of
the body, except the
head, covered.
BREAST DRAPE
• A drape used to
cover the client’s
breast
ANTERIOR PELVIC DRAPE
• A drape used to
cover the client’s
pelvis.
TURBAN DRAPE
• A drape used to
protects the client‘s
hair from spa
products and
prevents heat loss
during a treatment.
GLUTEAL DRAPE
• A drape used to
expose the client‘s
back.
SIDE-LYING POSITION
• A drape used to
expose the client‘s
back.
