TYPES OF CONFLICT
Individual level conflict
Individual-level conflict refers to an interpersonal incompatibility or differing perceptions
such as a difference of opinions and/or an unmatched relationship in interacting with
others. Individual-level conflict can have both negative and positive consequences on a
team and its team members.
There are tow types of individual level conflict
i. Intra-personal/intra-individual conflict:-
a) Conflict originating from frustration
b) Conflict originating from goals
c) Conflict originating from
ii. Intra-personal/inter-individual conflict:-
a. Personal differences
b. Information deficiency
c. Role incompatibility
d. Environmental stress
Group level conflict
2. Group level conflict:-It refers to a conflict among the members in a group. It is a result of differences in individuals and group goals.
iv. Inter-group Conflict: It refers to a conflict between two or more groups, when two or more groups compete for scarce resources.
