1. INTRODUCTION
Wellness

It is a balanced lifestyle that includes an emphasis on the body,
mind and spirit.
Wellness Model includes the following 7 Components:

• The overall purpose of any wellness program is to improve health and productivity of the staff and
reduce health-related costs by helping employees change towards a healthy lifestyle.

Objectives:
• To determine how employers/employees perceive the health and wellness needs of the workplace
[interviews]
• To determine the health and wellness needs of employees [anonymous surveys]
• To identify and design wellness services for CEPM

6. MONITORING AND REPORTING

The overall aim of the interventions of the wellness program is to improve the health outcomes
of staff.
Proposed indicators:
• no of staff attending health talks / report being well informed.
• no of staff participating in weight control groups and reporting weight reduction.
• no of staff participating in physical exercise groups and report improved well-being

7. CONCLUSION

• There is much that needs to be done to improve the health, safety and well-being of workers
in Companies. Employees are the most valuable assets to any company.
• Wellness Programs improves morale, reduce absenteeism, and add to the health and longevity
of each employee.
• Wellness Programs are instrumental in keeping people on a healthy living path, especially in
office environments where the employees are bound for significant portions of the day.
