Vitamin C

• Vitamin C or Ascorbic acid is a water-


soluble vitamin, meaning that your body
doesn't store it. You have to get it from food.
Sources
•Citrus (oranges, kiwi, lemon, grapefruit)
•Strawberries
•Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower
•Tomatoes
•White potatoes

Symptoms
•Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea Heartburn
•Headache
•Skin flushing
•Fatigue and sleepiness, or sometimes insomnia
•Stomach cramps or bloating.
Deficiency
• Severe deficiency, called scurvy, causes
bruising, gum and dental problems, dry hair
and skin, and anemia.
