• Before you do the time-scale you have to explain how you are going to spend
the budget – So first do your budget

• The timescale shows how you will spend the budget visually

• In the budget you will allocate your funds between different promotional
activities, show your working out and explain why. 

• The timeline will show: for how long you will do the promotional activity and
in what months
How to divide your budget 
• Start with the most important promotional methods for your
campaign 

• Think about how long you will have to use the promotional methods

• Be realistic 

• Justify your choices

• Get as close as possible to the total

• If you are under budget after trying to get to the budget: add a sentence: "I
have money left over for contingency to stop any overspend"
