Bureaucracy
It is a system of rules and procedures that are
designed to make the operation of an organization or
society as efficient, effective, and ratiobal as
possible(Sridharan, 2022). It is a system of
organization that is characterized by hierarchal levels
and the rule of law. It is not composed of elected
officials but, appointed into their office as they are
being appointed according to their specialty on
which field they are specialized. It is often associated
with red-tape, which refers to excessive bureaucracy
or complicated administrative procedures that inhibit
quick decisions and actions.
How Bureaucracy is Applied in
PDEA?
PDEA is not composed of elected officials but, they
are appointed or accepted into positions when they
apply and train in PDEA academy. The goal of
creating this agency is to eliminate illegal drugs for
the society to have peace and order. There can be red
tape in this agency when the officers do something
irrelevant or redundant to delay or hinder actions.
