Visual Materials
1. Improves audience understanding and memory. (retention level)
2. Serves as notes and provides clearer organization such a handouts. (effective)
3. Facilitates more eye contact and movement of speaker
4. Makes the presentation more interesting.
Disadvantages
1. Poorly designed visual aids can be difficult to understand and see.
2. It could be distracting if its not supporting the concept.
3. Less effective to convey complex ideas or emotions.
4. Power failure or technical difficulties can become a hindrance. 16

1. Easy to create and use
2. Simple to remember concepts especially for auditory learners.
3. Economical and can be reused.
Disadvantages
1. They don’t provide visual elements
which most people enjoy.
2. Should have clarity and audibility.

1. Remember messages perceived with more senses than just one.
2. More interesting than the use of only visual or audio materials
Disadvantages
1. Some forms can be expensive
2. Attendees can misunderstand concepts if the material isn’t
