    The Ngaben ceremony is a


    ceremony carried out to return the
    ancestral spirits to their origins or
    to return the Panca Maha Bhuta
    elements to God/Ida Sang Hyang
    Widhi Wasa.
    Ma'pasilaga tedong or Adu Kerbau is
    one of a series of death ceremonies
    (Rambu Solo') passed down from
    generation to generation by Toraja
    people.
    Normative Culture

    "Mlaku Wungkuk" in Javanese culture and


    "Mappatabe'" in Bugis Wajo culture,
    known as practice of bowing while walking
    and it is intended to convey respect.
    ‘Salim’in Javanese culture and
    even in several city in Indonesia
    is a greeting gesture that
    indicates courtesy & politeness
    by kissing someone’s hand.

    Genetic Culture

    The Bajo tribe is one of the ethnic


    groups known as ocean explorers
    who live on boats relying on the
    position of the stars as a signpost.
